About Us

In April 2005 we, Kerri Allan & Clare Pettigrew , decided to combine our extensive clinical expertise to establish Physiotherapy Scotland, a new and dynamic private physiotherapy service convenient to Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.  Having worked closely together within various settings and centres of excellence over the previous few years (such as the Liz McColgan Health Club & Physiotherapy Centre and Regional Institutes of Sport) we recognise the need for quick and affordable local access to an expert physiotherapy service.

We are Chartered Physiotherapists, registered with the Health Professions Council  and accredited members of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM).   Physiotherapy Scotland is also recognised by Physio First (formerly the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice) where we form part of the Scottish Committee for the Organisation.   This assures our clients of the highest standards of clinical expertise and best practise at all times.

In 2010 we were delighted to be appointed the national clinic for the assessment and fitting of Donjoy knee braces, the leading global provider of high-quality, orthopaedic braces.  This new and exclusive service allows us to work closely with orthopaedic consultants and clients to provide the highest quality of knee bracing for injuries ranging from ligament instability to arthritic changes.

In addition to providing an extensive out-patient service from our clinic base in Kirkliston, we are currently key members within a specialised network of highly qualified clinicians providing therapy services to sporting organisations and businesses within the Lothian region. This includes the Scottish Institute of Sport and Scottish Disability Squad, working side by side with elite and developing athletes and their management teams to maximise sporting potential.
